DESCRIPTION -

This was a collaborative animation project between Eilidh Brown and myself. Inspired by classic animations such as Steamboat Willie and Disney's Fantasia, emphasising the elements of squash and stretch. A neglected prop sword in a state of disrepair auditions for various recognisable film roles but things never seem to go their way, buckling under the pressure. I worked on the environment art, Level art, lighting, texturing and the sword model with Eilidh working on technical art, rigging, animating and editing.

Modelling and retopology in Maya to prepare the sword character to be rigged and animated. Then I worked on texturing for the sword and environment in Substance Painter.
