I'm Matthew, an Environment and Game Artist from Scotland and MProf Game Development graduate from Abertay University, Dundee as of 2021. I have worked as an Art Lead and Environment Artist at Astrodreamer Studio working on their current title 'A Bonnie Odyssey' and upcoming second project.

Most recently I was employed as Private Label Development Coordinator at Johnstons of Elgin, working to streamline and oversee sampling for all of their Private Label customers, meeting deadlines for international runways, showroom meetings and other seasonal fashion events. Notably, I co-ordinated innovation projects within the mill, creating exciting new product ranges and finding solutions to expand the mills potential in terms of efficiency and meeting ever growing client requests.

I have previously worked with high profile clients in creative fields such as Microsoft, Hermes, Burberry, Dior, University College London, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the award winning games studio The Chinese Room. I co-founded the internationally award winning indie studio Konglomerate Games, working as their Lead Environment Artist on the serious game - Project Fizzyo: Cape Breeze. The project focused on the creation of a series of games to bring excitement and engagement to the breathing exercises of Cystic Fibrosis patients ages 6-16, designed to improve their quality of life, controlled using hospital breathing apparatus. The game has been tested and used by over 100 patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London to date.

With over 10 years experience, I am highly skilled in all industry-standard software for game development and environment art. I am committed to continually improving my skills as a game artist and am passionate about any project I set my mind to. This website documents the various game projects I have worked on in recent years, many of these can be downloaded and played on my itch.io page.

Assets, texture projects and relevent media can be found on my Artstation, also linked below.
